The Estes Conference Center offered state-of-the-art, flexible spaces that were of tremendous use to my nonprofit. The ECC is a meeting space conveniently located just off I-40 at 1121 Slater Road in Durham, NC. The space features a large conference room with projector/AV options, board room with TV, lobby seating in the atrium, a prep-kitchen, and a private courtyard.
The meeting wing of the Stead Center is named the E. Harvey Estes Conference Center (ECC), in honor of E. Harvey Estes, M.D. who oversaw the Duke University PA Program in 1969 and is credited with propagating the PA concept across the nation.

What’s Included
All facility rentals include use of the:
- Conference Meeting Room
- Board Room
- Atrium
- Wellness Room, and
- Prep-kitchen.
Each rental include use of a podium, tables, chairs, and A/V equipment and technology. Existing furniture options include up to 18 training tables with power and 64 chairs.
These tables can be set in a variety of configurations in accordance with the renter’s specific needs. Renters requiring banquet, cocktail, or other furniture configurations, are permitted to rent from a third party. Rentals do not include food or beverage service.

Half and Full Day rental rates are based on timeframes within NCAPA’s typical hours of operation, 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, and are inclusive of time required for deliveries, set up, and break-down of the meeting.
Rental requests that are outside typical hours of operation and/or include serving alcohol will be subject to additional fees.
Payment is accepted by ACH, Check, or Credit Card. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remainder due on or before the day of the meeting.
